For your charter vaction, you have the choice of bareboating or having a skipper depending on your captain qualifications and preference. No matter what your cruising experience may be, VIP can provide you and your group with a memorable sailing vacation. Captains are available for hire from one day to three days, or for the duration of your charter. You may even take advantage of our Cruise & Learn program — you charter a yacht and for a daily fee, our captain/instructor will teach you what you need to know to skipper your own vessel in the future.

Bareboating
VIP's skipper qualification for bareboat chartering is based upon your previous sailing experience. A captain’s license or bareboating certificate is not required. To confirm your bareboat skipper qualification, kindly complete the brief résumé, print it and send or fax it to us. The fax numbers & address are contained in the document. A VIP representative will contact you with your resulting skipper status. It’s that easy.

Skippers
Sometimes even experienced sailors prefer to take along a captain for a few days or for the entire trip. The yacht you charter will need to be sufficient in size to accommodate the skipper in one cabin, and your group in the remaining cabins.

A skipper will help familiarize you with your yacht and equipment, while you relax and do as much boat handling (or as little) as you wish. Having a skipper onboard gives you the advantage of their local knowledge, guiding you to all the best anchorages, restaurants, snorkeling and more. And, in addition to getting the inside scoop on sailing in these islands, you'll likely be entertained by some interesting sea stories!

Equipment List
From stem to stern your VIP yacht of choice is provided with a level of quality equipment which will satisfy all needs for the duration of your trip. We are confident that the quality of all items from anchors to crockery to the stereo system will be another reason that you will be pleased you chose VIP Yacht Charters to arrange your boating vacation.
